    Diuretic prescriptions in hypertension simulations. The fraction of ABFM simulated hypertension patients receiving diuretic prescriptions from Diplomates in Maintenance of Certification is shown for each year since 2004. Most Diplomates prescribe a diuretic; most commonly used diuretic is hydrochlorothiazide, alone or in combination. Chlorthalidone, is being prescribed with gradually increasing frequency.
