2022, Journal of Substance Abuse TreatmentCitation Excerpt :Research has shown the FTCD to be a reliable measure in general community samples with coefficient alphas of 0.61 (Heatherton et al., 1991) to 0.64 (Pomerleau et al., 1994). The alpha for the current sample was 0.56, lower than in the prior studies noted here (Heatherton et al., 1991; Pomerleau et al., 1994). The study assessed SUD treatment discharge status by the agency and classified it as: (1) Completed Treatment consisting of the following statuses: “All Goals Met” and “Half or More Goals Met;” and (2) Treatment Not Completed consisting of the following status: “Some Goals Met” and “No Goals Met.”
