Stress Incontinence | Weakness in the urethral sphincter and/or pelvic floor causes involuntary leakage of urine when there are increases in intra-abdominal pressure (e.g., with exertion, coughing, sneezing).1 |
Urge Incontinence | Detrusor overactivity causes urinary urgency.1 |
Mixed Incontinence | Combination of stress and urge incontinence.1 |
Overflow Incontinence | Overdistended bladder due to impaired detrusor contractility and/or bladder outlet obstruction causes involuntary leakage of urine.1 |
Neurogenic Incontinence | Impaired function of either the bladder, bladder neck, and/or its sphincters related to brain, spinal cord, or nerve problem.24 |
