AB In pregnant patients at term undergoing induction of labor, early time-based artificial rupture of membranes (AROM) within 1 hour of Foley bulb expulsion results in a shorter duration of labor by nearly 9 hours with no significant difference in cesarean delivery rates or maternal or neonatal adverse outcomes.1
