Chair, Department of Family Medicine
The Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Chair of the Department of Family Medicine. The department includes 65 physicians seeing more than 180,000 patient visits each year, a successful residency program with 18 trainees, and is extensively involved in undergraduate medical education. The Chair is expected to work closely and collaboratively with other colleagues in General Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Infectious Disease, and Pediatrics to improve the care of patients in our community. Candidates should have a record of scholarship and academic leadership that qualifies them for appointment at the Professor/Associate Professor level at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. The Cleveland Clinic has used an electronic health record since 2000 and has over 3.6 million patient visits each year, affording an unusual opportunity for clinical research in quality, epidemiology, and clinical process improvement.
